Our Diedre Brown enjoyed discussing and seeing all the things open urban data can do at the Building Urban Data Community - NYU Open Data Creators' Forum. She even got in on the action by comparing the layers of a map she is building as part of the lab’s Urban Aerobiome Microclimates work to a layer cake during her lighting talk entitled “Future Planning with{out} the Meter: Open Urban Data and the Synthetic Aerobiome.” In this layer cake, open data that already describes environmental conditions can be used to predict microbial diversity in an agent-based modeling system. Now that’s a treat for all to enjoy!
